 Suspension FAQ:

Q. What should my ride height be??

A. There is no magic number - we run as low as 4 inches for Flat Track and as high 10 inches for Dunes. We run anywhere in between that depending on the quad and the application.

One big problem is when someone try's to reach some magic number with out the right combination of parts - they end up with no preload on the rear spring or a lot of preload on the rear spring - either way it may not handle nearly as well as it could.

We always start with 3 turns of preload in the rear spring and then adjust the front preload to achieve a balanced ride height.

Q. What should my race sag be??

A. Again there is no magic number - it depends on the available travel and the application. My personal XC quad has about 4 inches and I have 11.5 inches of wheel travel. With some setups it is possible to end up with a quad to tall or to low if you are chasing a magic number since the travel is higher or lower then it should be due to poorly matched components.
