main springs.
|
Our dual rate spring kits and easily be installed with no special
tools - all you need to do is mount you shock in any shop vise
(upside down) - back off the preload on the spring until the
lower spring retainer can be removed. Remove the spring - unscrew
the lower preload nut and remove from the shock - install the new
lower preload nut (supplied in the kit) - install the sag spring -
install the spring crossover - install the new main spring -
reinstall the lower spring retainer.
After you have installed the shocks on the quad - first set the
ride height in the front to match the rear (1/4 inch to 1/2 an inch
higher in the front then the rear when standing on the pegs) - next
verify the distance to crossover with the rider standing on the pegs
- the distance to crossover must be between 3/16 inch to 3/8 inch -
if the distance to crossover is different from that, you will need
to flip the crossover or contact us for a new size crossover. Please
have the precise ride height and distance to crossover before you
call us so we can assist you better.
DO NOT RIDE YOUR QUAD UNTIL THE RIDE HEIGHT AND THE DISTANCE
TO CROSSOVER HAS BEEN SET CORRECTLY.
